An LRROF Success Story

We lost our chocolate lab earlier in 2011 and how home felt so empty. Our golden retriever wandered around and whined constantly. My husband and I knew then that we would have to get another addition to our family. However, our daughter had special needs and this would limit our ability to bring in a puppy or senior dog to the mix. A friend who adopts shepherd suggested I look for a retriever rescue society and it was through that suggestion we found florida labs. Our home inspection was wonderful. However, we had a few dogs recommended that did not have a history of children so that was disappointing. Then we met Masie "macy" ! She was open friendly and wonderful from the start. She loved children and has enjoyed being a litter mate to three young children and one senior dog. Macy will sit with our daughter and let her rub and comb her fur. She will rough house with our oldest son. She sleeps under the bed of our youngest son and keeps a watchful eye on all three when they are outside playing. Macy is such a wonderful addition to our family and I can hardly believe we are coming up on our first anniversary with her this December as it seems she just bounced into our lives yesterday.
