We adopted Ordie, formerly "Joe/Thunder" a little over a month ago. LRROF saved him from the SPCA and treated his heart worm. He is 4 years old and at first we were thinking of getting a younger dog but I am so glad we were matched with him. He is the best dog ever, so please don't overlook the older dogs. He came home with us on Father's Day 2012 and it seems like he has been part of our family for years. He started answering to his new name right away and is named after daddy's job in the Navy. LRROF was awesome and made sure that we found the perfect match for our family since we have two small children. Ordie is so amazing with our kids and they love him so much. He is my buddy and is always at my side and loves to go on walk/runs with me everyday, it is nice to have a running partner. Since we are a Navy family Daddy is gone frequently but he is always super excited to see him when he comes home. He is currently going through some training at pet smart which he loves because he gets to play with other dogs. He is truly the perfect dog for our family and we couldn't be more grateful to LRROF for helping us find our last family member to make our family whole.
