An LRROF Success Story

What a great experience getting Max has been for our family. We have two boys, ages 10 and 16, plus two dachsunds and we decided we needed another dog to add to our already hectic lifestyle. We were nervous, but for some reason we charged ahead and contacted Lab Rescue (as we wanted a little larger dog). From the first call from Vicki, with lab rescue, we felt more comfortable with the process, but still a little nervous. Then we asked about Max, "he is still a puppy lots of energy and based on your application may not be exactly what you are looking for, but let's see". We decided to visit, still nervous about what we were getting into, but kept moving forward. The whole family went to meet Max, including the two dachsunds, we spent two hours with Dan (Max's foster parent) and Max and we knew we needed Max in our family. However, being the nervous parents we were about adding another pet, we hesitated for about 30 minutes, then called Dan and decided to move forward. It has been the best experience for our family and Max has fit in so well, we just love him! One thing that stands out in the process to me is how loving Dan was as a foster parent and the time he took to tell us everything, good and bad. In addition, he took the time to come to our home to deliver Max, making Max feel much more comfortable with the process......so great! We are so happy and honored to be a part of such a great organization! Thanks again for all the support and of course, Max!
