Surrendering your dog can be a difficult and emotional process — for both you and the dog. Labrador Retriever Rescue of Florida is here to help, if we can.
In order to surrender to LRRoF, your dog must be socialized, friendly and non-aggressive.

We are a foster based rescue, please give us as much time as possible when surrendering. We may have a waitlist of dogs currently waiting for placement to the program.

Please be prepared to spend 20-25 minutes of your time completing the application. It may take few days for us to respond to your application to begin discussions about the possibility of surrender and your anticipated wait time. Please be as thorough and honest as possible in the application, as this will determine eligibility. This also provides us with current information for a suitable foster home and eventually an adopter. You will need photos of your dog at the time of application, and eventually the veterinary records.

Before any dog is accepted into the program, it will undergo an in-home evaluation by a LRRoF volunteer. This in home evaluation will be scheduled with you after the dog has been tentatively accepted into the program. No dog will be accepted into the program until the evaluation has been completed and all documentation is checked for validity and a discussion with your vet has occurred.

Please understand that even if your dog meets all of our criteria, we have limited foster homes.  We can only take a dog in if we have available space.

Please consider a monetary donation when surrendering your dog to help offset vet and care costs. Other donation ideas include dog beds, crates, toys, etc.
